Away From the Office — Home, Travel, Public Wi-Fi and Your Devices

Working from home, on the road and on public Wi-Fi: why a free network can be a copy and the one rule for Wi-Fi sign-in pages, your phone's hotspot and the VPN, screens and calls in public, devices that disappear in seconds and chargers you can't trust, screen locks and find-and-wipe, reporting a lost device at once, updates, the home router, your own phone for work, and travel.

After this module you can

• ✓Keep your screen, your calls and your devices to yourself — in lounges, hotels, coffee shops and at home.
• ✓Keep every device locked and up to date — at home, on the road, and on your own phone if you use it for work.
• ✓Report a lost device or a suspicious network at once.

What this module evidences: ISO/IEC 27001:2022 clause 7.3 (awareness) and Annex A control A.6.3 (information security awareness, education and training); the staff-awareness and security duties in data-protection law (for example GDPR Articles 32 and 39). The quiz result is recorded against your account, and passing it earns this module’s dated certificate.

Ten “what would you do” scenario questions. Pass mark 80% — retake as often as you like. Pass it and this module’s certificate is issued in your name with the date; it is due again in twelve months. The quizzes and certificates come with a 12-month licence — for one person or for your company.
